My school is a high-need school that has struggled to close the achievement gap. We have recently made significant gains in achievement.
My students are interested in high interest topics such as Energy Conservation as well as the most recent high tech items, but because of district budget constraints they are not able to use the high tech items to research and present their newly-found knowledge in projects that might prepare them for college-level work. I would like to use 3 high tech items: MacBook laptop, mini laptops and iPods to allow my students to research Energy Conservation in their community and develop media projects that might include PowerPoint presentations, podcasts, videos and digital books to report their findings. You will make it possible for my students to research the high interest topic of Energy Conservation with high tech items to produce projects that will prepare them for college-level work. HIDE My students need 1 laptop computer, 2 mini laptops, and 5 iPods.
