Most of my students live in the apartments across from the railroad tracks. The houses in the area are for rent, which makes for a transient community and school population.
My students are predominantly Spanish speaking. The families are hard working but have few resources. The families in the area are unable to provide experiences or materials to help their children. I would like to provide my Spanish speaking families with backpacks that have hands on activities the families could do at home. The backpacks will provide the families with activities which will improve the students understanding of concepts in their home language. The students will transfer the concepts to the classroom and be able to build on the concepts. You will make it possible for my students to get extra help at home with important school concepts. You will help my students feel more confident in school by providing materials, which will help my students learn important concepts. You will ensure my students now and in the future enjoy learning at home and in school. HIDE My students need a set of Spanish Take-Home Learning Packs and a Take-Home Pack Storage Rack.
