Parents struggle to bring in the basic supplies (pencils, paper, glue, etc.). So, it is hard to ask them for any help that is needed.
My students are hard workers and eager to learn. But they face many obstacles along their way. Before they even step into the classroom they have the odds stacked against them. Many of my students are left on their own to take care of themselves and their siblings with few if any resources. For my students, the only time they eat is when they receive free breakfast and lunch at school. This causes issues in the class. Many come in tired and not wanting to be there. So I am trying to grab their attention and keep it with bringing in new and exciting ideas. I thought letting the students create a volcano that erupts would definitely get their brain's pumping with excitement to learn. It will allow them to learn about how volcanoes work from a geological perspective while building a model of a volcano with a partner. I would like to thank you for your support. Without your kindness and generosity, I would not be able to bring the excitement into learning and school. People like you make it all possible. Thank you! My students need 12 erupting volcanoes and a volcanoes DVD. HIDELive Updates
