"My school is located in an at risk neighborhood and we have students bused in from around the valley. I teach First Grade. My classroom demographics is multicultural with numerous native languages spoken by my students and parents. My school is an oasis of learning. We have the best staff and we put our students first.

Many of my students come from lower income parents who desire their children to obtain the best education. I have students that have a parent serving in the US Military in a foreign country. School is the only safe haven for some of my students. They know they will have fun, learn and eat two meals a day.

First Graders love books. Learning to read is the core of First Grade. My classroom is full of leveled books purchased by myself and my school. The mobile book libraries will allow me to level additional books and make them more accessible to the students. My students may checkout books to go home in addition to keeping their personal book bags at their desk. At the moment, my students have to look through bins that are over full and they have difficulty. Additional library leveled bins will allow the students to easily access the books and thus, enjoy more books!

Your generous support will allow my students to find that special book that may make all the difference in their development of loving to read. My biggest challenge in our technological world is hooking kids on the wonders of reading a great book.

My students need one 6 Bin Books on Wheels Mobile Library and one 12 Bin Books on wheels Mobile Library.

Dear Lincy Foundation and The Lincy Foundation,

Wow, what a difference your generous donation has made to our classroom! I posted a pre-picture showing the 100s of leveled AR books crammed into 9 bins. Our books were always being damaged and the students had difficulty finding just the right book (and returning to the correct bin was difficult). Now all the books are sorted into bins by level and genre. Each bin is easily accessible to the students and color coded. They were very jazzed about free choice reading. They could find a book! My students had no idea we had that many books to chose from. I have students taking home 2 or 3 books a night to read.

The class is working very hard to keep the class library in order. Many students have discovered interests they didn't know they had.

Again, thank you. My students this year and all my future students will benefit from your generous donation. Finding just the right book can turn a student who isn't interested in reading into a student that loves to read. We are no longer having to "dig" to find a book. The books are clearly visible waiting to take any student on an adventure.

With gratitude,
Ms. P.

Dear Lincy Foundation and The Lincy Foundation,
I am so excited about my book shelves! My students have caught the reading bug and the new shelves with leveled book bins will help with selection and keeping our class library in order. Reading is the foundation to all education and having First Graders catch the reading fever is crucial to their individual success. With the leveled bins, I will be able to provide better access to all the books (especially the non-fiction books!).

Again, thank you so much. You have been extremely generous to my school and our wonderful students.

With gratitude,
Ms. P.
