"I teach adapted aquatics for our school. The ages of the students that utilize our pool are from 5 years - 22 years old with varying levels of abilities.
We are looking for items that our students can use to add to their aquatics experience such as goggles, balls, and cones, that will enhance their imagination and encourage them to move around the pool.
Some of these items will provide different tactile experiences for the students which can be challenging in the pool because not many items can be put into the pool. And why not continue to work on counting and colors in the pool, the kids love to use their imagination and this would encourage that.
With your help, you will make it possible for my students to add to their aquatics experience.
My students need 8 swimline swim goggles, 1 stack and count layer cake, 1 rainbow color cones, 2 O-balls, 2 Squishy Balls Set II - 7-Ball Set, 2 Sensory Balls - SloMo BumpBall, and 2 Reflex Ball.

Dear Katie, Mrs. Maine, Elaine, charmaine, Keira, Elizabeth, Sheryl, Jill, M. Giant and M. Edium and Cij,
I can't begin to thank you for all of your donations to fund my project. It is nice to see others who understand the importance of swimming and creating a fun, learning environment while in the pool.
My project that you have funded will enable my students to explore and use their imaginations while learning to swim, building their confidence and showing them what a great and fun place the swimming pool can be. My students will also be able to practice colors and counting all the while swimming and be able to explore a whole new world underwater with the goggles. The balls will provide a great sensory experience for those students that are not able to move around the pool so easily on their own.
I can't wait to share these wonderful items with my students. THANK YOU each and every one of you, your support is greatly appreciated!
With gratitude, Mrs. Z.

"I gave to this project because I work with students with special needs as well and know the value of therapy such as swimming. I like that the goal is to continue to promote learning while swimming!"

"I gave to this project because my daughter loves the water and swimming has brought her so much--confidence, joy, a way to reduce stress. Special needs kids need the same chance to experience the joy and freedom that being in the water can bring!"
"Thanks Kiera, the kids are looking forward to some fun activities in the pool once this project is funded!"

"I donated because I am a special education teacher and swim coach and absolutely believe in the value of physical activity -- especially for children with special needs. I was so excited to find this creative project - best of luck to you and your students, Mrs. Z :)"
