"My class consists of 24 fourth graders of varied abilities. They are an excited group of twenty-first century learners who are highly motivated with technology and hands-on learning adventures.

Twenty-first century learners need twenty-first century tools. Technology integration in the classroom is not optional. If we are truly preparing our students for the world outside of the classroom, we need to tweak our tools in the classroom to match those in the real world. The pencil and paper have been replaced with a computer and mouse. As educators, we need to realize that the computer or laptop is not the only technology tools that can inspire student learning.

What student wouldn’t want to learn in the classroom iPod center? The novelty of using this technology tool alone engages a student. In addition to the technology wow

factor, using iPods reach many different levels of the multiple intelligences. This nifty little gadget actually has more processing power than a computer bought in 1999! Due to that fact, there are countless ways it can be integrated in the classroom across all subject areas.

The iLearn iPod Station will contain 2 iPod Nanos. During center time, groups of 2-4 students will rotate to this station which will be set up with an activity to support the current learning objective. Some of those activities include: Podcasting, iPod Flash cards created by students and imported into the iPods, content area videos, audio books, and much much more! The options are endless! HIDE

My students need two 8GB Apple iPod Nanos.
