My students need 16 iPod shuffles to help them focus while running long distances.

My students are considered "at-risk" students. They are at-risk of dropping out of school and at-risk of being uneducated, unmotivated and unemployed. My students are all on Individualized Education Plans that are built to support their positive behaviors and try to diminish their negative behaviors that have lead to negative consequences. Our class is designed to build character. Our program goal is that every student has the opportunity to attend college after graduating from high school.

My students are in need of some serious fitness activities. We have developed a fitness program that involves punching and training on a heavy bag in class and training to run a full marathon in April of 2010. Our school district has increased the numbers in PE and weights classes from 50 students per teacher to 60 students per teacher. My students would get lost in that environment; therefore we are developing this program to get their required PE credit and exciting exercise in class.

We are asking for materials that will help us get some intensity during our workouts. We are asking for ipod shuffles to assist my ADHD students focus while running long distances.

Your help will ensure that my students have the necessary materials to help build fitness, pride, and confidence. This will help to improve social skills, develop real world intelligence, and give them experiences that will help build their self worth.
