Our district is in the inner-city of a predominately Hispanic, low income neighborhood. In addition, we have several disabled children that need special resources.
We would love to introduce our students to some outstanding pieces of children's literature, such as Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox. Our goal is to introduce our students to one new novel per marking quarter to enrich our students' language arts curriculum. The exciting part about Fantastic Mr. Fox is that it will soon be available in the movie theaters, thereby giving us an opportunity to relate a novel with a visual representation for comparative purposes (otherwise known as a field trip!). The only way to get one copy of each of our selected novels to our students is by the generosity of donors such as yourselves. We are also requesting one copy per classroom of the novel on CD for our disabled students. In addition, one ream of copy paper per classroom to make copies of the activities associated with the novel. Your help will ensure that our students will get the most enriching Language Arts curriculum possible. We are confident that our students will love Fantastic Mr. Fox and will then hopefully seek out other Roald Dahl books for their reading pleasure! HIDE Our third graders need 60 copies of Roald Dahl's "Fantastic Mr. Fox", along with 2 audio copies and 2 packs of copy paper.
