The majority of my student have access to various forms of technology (MP3 players, computer, internet services, video games, & cell phones) at home. In fact, their entire surroundings consist of some type of technological exposure; yet when they come into class, they are reverted back to the old paper and pencil method. Technology has become so pervasive, so essential, so advanced in society that its integration into classroom instruction is imperative. A survey completed by graduates from my high school indicated that, although the majority of them were satisfied with the education they received at my high school, many thought additional emphasis on technology was important. Technology in school would benefit the students during their higher education. It would lay a strong foundation of a successful professional life of an individual. Our approach will be to use the LCD projector in conjunction with a SMART Boards so that students are actively engaged by the interactive delivery of lesson materials and enjoy the learning process more. Students who had shown little interest in subject matter will become eager to use the SMART Board interactive whiteboard with LCD projector in class.
