"I am a Title One Reading Teacher. I currently teach in an overcrowded New York City elementary school. There are over 1200 students, with our kindergarten and Pre-K housed in another school. Having said that, all students work extremely hard to achieve grade level reading scores.

One major problem that I face is getting children interested in reading. The world of technology has made holding a simple paper- made book almost obsolete. Today's youth simply expect more from their reading experiences.

That is why a Digital Reader is such an awesome item. Imagine a nine year old being able to read their choice of over 160 books holding a new piece of technology. This book will absolutely become the most popular method of reading. The compact size will make it easy to lend so children can bring it home. It would be a compact library.

You can make it possible for my students to experience a modern day version of the joy of reading. I know everyone will benefit from a Digital Reader. Thank you for your consideration.

My students need a Sony digital book and cover.

Dear Andrew,
Thank You!!! Thank You!!! The Sony Digital Reader has become the most popular book in all my classes. Children are seeking to spend time reading, an almost unheard of occurrence.

I was able to download a story about Lou Gehrig, which supplements a story we are reading. Everyone, even other teachers, are enthralled with this digital version of a book.

The note taking feature has been an added bonus for a few of my students. Now when we practice taking notes, I allow some struggling students to use this book. Interestingly enough, not only do they pay close attention to the story, but their note taking abilities have improved rapidly.

All of you are the BEST!!!

With gratitude,
Ms. A.

Dear Andrew,
I would like to thank each and everyone for their generous donation. I have already told some of my students that we will be receiving this wonderful E-book and their excitement is beyond belief.

We can hardly wait to download books and start a reading club. Anytime you introduce a new form of technology to children they are on the edge of their seats waiting to learn. What an awesome influence you have had on a great group of children. We are all truly appreciative.

With gratitude,
Ms. A.
