My students need 30 copies of the two books titled, "The Skin I'm In" and "Bronx Masquerade".

A wise person once stated that, "Literacy unlocks the door to learning throughout life, is essential to development and health, and opens the way for democratic participation and active citizenship"(Kofi Annan). I am currently a seventh grade Literacy teacher at an all girl's school located in a high needs area. My school prides itself on providing our students with the best academic opportunities within the classroom, and we constantly strive to assist them in reaching their fullest potentials .

Many of my students are not functioning on the appropriate reading level and struggle while I attempt to introduce them to the required literary objectives.

In an effort to help strengthen their reading levels I am trying to incorporate these texts in my curriculum that will not only reinforce literary skills but teach them important life lessons.

Students learn best when they are equipped with the tools that will inspire them to press forward while gaining an education. Within my classroom books are a primary tool. Please assist me in effectively organizing a classroom library that could assist students in engaging actively with books.
