The materials I have chosen will allow me to differentiate the instruction of the students in my classroom in a fun, playful way. The materials will allow for those students who need something other than a book to become successful readers.

My solution is to have small groups of students playing games while at the same time learning a difficult reading concept. What better way to meet the needs of all the learners in my classroom than by providing differentiated instruction.

I have requested a Fishing for Partners game that will help students locate and identify context clues. A game called Hazard Mountain will help students make inferences. Lastly, I've requested a complete comprehension kit that will help all levels of learners to analyze text, use literature to develop concepts, draw conclusions, locate facts and details, and to think critically.
