My students need 50 interesting, fourth grade level books, including "Dear Mr. Henshaw", "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" and "James and the Giant Peach".

My fourth grade students come from a diverse mix of ethnic groups and backgrounds. More than 80% of my students qualify for free/reduced lunch, and many do not have access to books at home for this and other reasons.

Last year, my students made significant gains in reading and many of them are now reading on grade level! The unfortunate part about this is that my classroom is not equipped for on-grade level students. The classroom library has many lower-level books, but few that fit what my students need to grow.

I have selected books that I know will interest my students- books about animals, scary stories, the water, and others that I know they will love. They need to read "just-right" books in order to continue to grow- and you can help them do that!

Your support will allow my students to continue to make significant growth in reading. Learning to love reading now will enable them to continue to excel in middle and high school.
