I am beginning a new school year in a new school with a new class. My students are grades 9-12 and have multiple special needs. Most of them use a wheelchair or some other kind of mobility device. Most of them are non-speaking. They have high levels of special needs. They are bussed from several surrounding community to attend a specialized program to meet their special educational needs. I am very much looking forward to being their new teacher in my new classroom.

My new classroom is large and spacious. However it is filled with all of the equipment that students with intensive special needs require and it has no storage. Most classroom have many counters and cabinets, closets and cupboards. This classroom has none of those things it does not even have any books cases. I will be forced to store out supplies in cardboard boxed and plastic milk crates from the cafeteria. I hate to waste what ever meager funds I will be offered in the next funding cycle in June on storage boxes or shelves. What I really need in this room is storage!

A rolling cart, with sixteen bins, to hold craft supplies, oral motor and fine motor items, math manipulatives, reading flash cards, and other items will be just the thing to give us the organization and the space that we need. This rolling cart has a counter top to give us extra space and all those bins for storage. It isn't glamorous, and it isn't fancy, but a storage cart is just what I need in my new room!
