I am a 1st grade teacher in a charter school which strongly believes in preparing and instilling in each and every one of our students the desire for a college degree.

Through research we have learned of the existence of different learning styles. We are all different and therefore learn in different ways. This is no different in our students. The majority of my students are and have been kinesthetic learners. These students learn best when they are engaged in a hands on learning experience.

This project will provide my class with a Classroom Math Manipulative Center. My first graders will be able to have a variety of manipulatives needed. It will allow all of my students, no matter what their learning style, to explore with the use of their senses essential math concepts that will be taught through out the year..

With your donation you will make it possible to instill a love for math in each of my students. You will be creating an opportunity for success by providing access to these resources.
