"My English as a second language learners would benefit greatly from having a listening center in place in my classroom. This would help not only my ESL students, but all of my learners who are auditory. To stimulate learners with reading at the primary level is critical for them to build their fluency, word recognition, and vocabulary.
My school is in desperate need for new and updated items. Due to budget cuts and the economy this won't be happening for our children at this time.
My students need books that they can listen to on a CD at a listening center while I work with other children in a small group setting. This will allow my non-readers a place to read independently. At this time our classroom has a CD player, but no books on CDs.
My students deserve the best education I can give them. Having this center in my classroom could mean that each day children can be listening and engage in a book that they may not have been able to read on their own.

Dear michael, Linda, Abigail, Marge, Rita, Donna, Heather, Ellen, Courtney, Nancy, Kathy, Ryan and Anonymous Donors,
Words can't express how grateful I am for each one of these donations. This year I was lucky enough to get a complete listening center for my classroom. Unfortunetly, I didn't have any books on CDs. I was lucky enough to get 4 sets of books on CDs with this funded proposal. My students are thrilled that they now have books to listen to at our listening center! I would like to express my great appreciation for each one of you that took your time, money, and effort to make a wonderful donation to my students and my classroom. Thank you again for your generous donation!
With gratitude, Mrs. P.
