In the Spring of 2009 we received wiring for cable television access in each classroom. This is a great asset. Now we can easily view Discovery Channel, PBS and National Geographic programs in the classroom when the opportunity calls for it. This was something I cheered loudly for when we received the news. Unfortunately there's one thing stopping my class from using the cable access - a TV. We received this great opportunity to access cable TV in the class but being a Public School we do not have money in the budget to purchase TVs for each class. We have one TV set that all 20 classroom teachers share. How can we access cable whenever we need to if we're sharing one set? This is why I am asking you to help my class by donating a television/DVD combo set. With your donation we will have access to the educational programs made available to us at any time as well as view educational videos such as The Magic School Bus, Discovery Kids videos and Eyewitness videos. Without your help we won't be able to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Thank you.
