Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a first grade teacher at a low income school in California. 95% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of them are just learning to speak English and are struggling readers.

My kids love big books and they make teaching reading so much easier. With a big book, all 20 of my students can read the words and see the pictures no matter where they are. Just using a regular sized book just isn't the same.

I am asking for a write and wipe big book center that will store all my big books. It will also give me a place to put the book, so I don't have to hold it, and a place to write key vocabulary words and important information about the story. And of course I am asking for 3 big books to go with it!

Please help my students get more out of reading. Learning to read can be challenging for all students, but even more so for students who don't speak the language and don't have books at home. I know my students would be very grateful for your donation.
