My students need a Native American activity book, Native American photo cards, subscriptions to Time for Kids and Weekly Reader, as well as other hands-on materials.
Hello, I teach third grade at a title 1
( high-need public school). Budget cuts have been severe over the past two years and another 17 million will be cut this coming year for Florida.
The students bring little basic supplies at the beginning of the year. I call home for more, but I end up supplying the pencils, paper, notebooks, kleenex, hand sanitizer, soap, food for our class mouse, etc. I love teaching, but I need materials to inspire my students with an experiential learning experience.
The resources I selected will help me provide the students with a HANDS-ON learning experience. This project will help serve my third graders by developing a love for the Native American history and culture.
Realize how important cultures other than their own have contributed to the melting pot of America. These materials will help make a difference in our lives.
