Enthusiasm is everywhere, but money is not. I am a reading specialist in grades K-5 in an economically depressed community in Maryland. A reading/listening center would open doors for them and give them pleasure.

The reading/listening center would be a wonderful first read and introduction into a story and give students an opportunity to use equipment they may have had little opportunity to use and enjoy.

This reading/listening center would offer them an introduction into reading. Now, I borrowed books from the county library that include cassettes or Cd's or have read books to my students. The reading/listening center would allow students to work, listen and read independently. As a teacher, isn't this one of my goals?

Your financial assistance would would enable students to enjoy books they may not be able to read yet. Do you remember what it was like to almost be able to read a story--without help? I do! Believe that your financial help in this endeavor would be much appreciated and make a difference.
