My classroom in a special education learning center for children with special needs ranging from learning disabilities to mental retardation. They are in multiple grades ranging from 2nd to 5th grade.

With my special needs students engaging lessons are a must. Many of my students struggle with attention and need interactive hands on learning to increase retention. Many of my students have had negative educational experiences and need extra motivation to engage in purposeful learning.

The interactive whiteboard would increase the hands-on learning that my students would receive. It will be used in every subject, everyday, and by every student. It will be an exciting tool for them to learn on and in result motivate them to participate and learn.

Your support of my students learning will be ten fold appreciated by the students and me. Helping to motivate special needs students with hands on learning by your donations towards an interactive whiteboard will greatly benefit them academically and socially. You will help to build their confidence as they will be excited to take chances and learn with this technology. When a special education student is motivated the sky is the limit!
