Listening Centers Build Skills, Part 2

My students need Building Comprehension Listening Centers Skill Packs and a Reading Comprehension Activity Series for Grades 1-2.

I am a first grade teacher at an elementary school. Our district has experienced a $9 million shortfall for the 2008-09 school year and is expecting a $25 million short fall for the 2009-10 school year.

Students need continual reinforcement in reading skills. A listening center offers this reinforcement. While students are using the listening center, I will have the opportunity to work with small groups or individuals to build skills with Guided Reading lessons.

By including the Building Comprehension Listening Centers Skill Packs and Reading Comprehension Activity Series Grade 1-2 into our listening center, students will be given the opportunity to work on their individual needs to improve reading skills. I will also be building a book-based listening center to offer the students another avenue to learn.

Your support will allow my students the opportunity to grow and learn in literacy skills. It will also differentiate instruction for each student in the class.
