Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I Teach 4th grade at a low income school in Nevada. I have 28 students with reading levels that range from 2nd grade to 6th grade. I have a wonderful group of students that want to learn everything that they can.

With recent budget cuts and with teaching in a low income school, it is hard to fund educational materials that my students will benefit from. My students love learning and love spending time in Literacy Centers, but many of the activities are repetitive and can become dull. My students are ready for something that is challenging, but also fun.

The solution is having fun academic games available for my students to use. Lakeshore Learning has a wonderful supply of fun and educational games that will assist in my students journey through literacy. My students would benefit from additional practice in vocabulary and word usage.

Your help will continue to give hope to my students that come from a hard background. These students are so eager to learn and with your assistance, they have a chance of never losing that drive. When learning is fun, students will stick with it, and I want to see all of my students succeed.
