""WOW! What amazing, resilient, wonderful 3rd-grade students I learn from each day! These children are in a very high-need school, a lot of them facing challenges that would bring some of us to our knees. I gaze out each day, amazed they are sitting in my classroom and draw from their strength and incredible energy!

All of my students are very hands-on learners. The more interactive the learning, the more they learn and retain! These students deserve the best I can give them, and this is not textbook, paper/pencil type learning. Successful educational experiences are key for every student, especially those experiencing negative life situations. Education is key to motivate them to move up and out of their environments, knowing they have nothing but options!

To help empower these wonderful children, we start the day running and we never stop! We keep our whole selves into everything! This alleviates boredom, behavior problems and negative learning! Math manipulatives help make math fun and exciting for these students. They take part in math "games" and exercises before they realize they are doing math. When they realize they have learned a concept and once they know they can, it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities of what they will realize they can do!

Your help will ensure that these wonderful students will achieve important learning strategies and it will also enhance their love for learning! Allowing students a variety of fun and exciting ways to explore will only increase their chances for success!!

My students need 12 math resources, including math journals, a number line activity chart, probability spinners, a Light and Strike Math Game, Math Function Math Machines, a Digitz Multiplication Game, & subtraction, addition, and multiplication math practice boards. The cost of this proposal is $545, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Elaine and Friends at the Eccles Foundation and Wells Fargo,
These wonderful math items are a hit! They have proved to be an invaluable tool in our classroom!! The children love the different math games and are enjoying learning their multiplication facts.
When we started learning about place value and rounding, I was able to use the magnetic number line with the little frogs and it really helped to reinforce and switch on some light bulbs!
Thank you very much for donating these items to our classroom. We will get a lot of use out of them year after year!!!

With gratitude,
Mrs. S.
