I teach first grade at a rural school in Indiana. Funds are extremely limited. Many of my children come from very low income homes.

We are implementing a new reading model this school year in which I am in dire need of reading manipulatives for my children. I strive to ensure that learning in my classroom is meaningful as well as fun. I continue to search for manipulatives that will keep kids on task while increasing academic performance.

I am in dire need of materials for my children to use. I am requesting manipulatives in which my children will be able to practice independently while I am conferencing with small groups of children. With this one small purchase you will be able to provide my children with these essential phonics flip books, vowel centers, word family activities and magnetic boards.

Only with your help will I be able to provide these materials for my children. These materials will be used daily in our classroom as well as for many years to come. You will be able to touch many lives. Please help me in my endeavor to give children the very best start that can possibility be given.
