I am a special education teacher for students in a self contained classroom setting. The grades of my students range from 1st through 6th grade. My students have difficulty functioning in a general education setting and need a lot of support.

These children need to learn important life skills, such as cooking to help them succeed later in life as adults. The use of cooking supplies will help them get a hands-on opportunity to learn to cook for themselves.

By providing basic cooking supplies, these students can begin to receive a hands-on way of learning cooking skills. They would also be given the opportunity to use their newly learned skills later in life. Not only will they learn how to cook, but they will also learn health and nutrition information at the same time!

Remember, you will not only be providing better tools in a classroom, but a better foundation laid for those who are less fortunate. You will make it possible for my students to succeed by giving them the opportunity to use supplies that they do not currently have access to.
