Recorder Mania!

My students need 30 recorders, 30 thumb rests, 30 cases, and 30 neckstraps to participate in recorder mania at my school.

My school has a diverse representation of many cultures. My students are primarily at poverty level, so purchasing recorders is just not in their budgets. This course will be for 3rd graders. 4th and 5th graders will use any available recorders as well.

My kids have the interest, but no resources to buy recorders. My students love to study recorder, but cannot afford to get their own. This grant will help them succeed. I have some old recorders that have been donated, but they are cracked and so worn that the joints do not even hold the instrument together! My kids can play well when they have an instrument at school and home for practice.

I need a classroom set that can be used in school and can be signed out to use at home. If a student proves that he/she is serious and learns 3 songs in the Recorder Karate program, the recorder will be theirs.

Recorder teaches so many examples of powerful learning in music that it really helps the band and strings program in later grades. their literary skills are improved and the English as Second Language students can succeed, regardless of their language proficiency. Your help can really make this possible. Our students will shine and the music room will be full of RECORDER MANIA!!
