"Kindergarten teacher at a high-need Title I School. This school also focuses on Inclusion students and making them a part of our school community.

At the school I teach at we practice school wide recycling. All my Kindergarteners understand is we put our paper in the blue bin with the picture. These need to understand the importance of recycling. These children need to understand how important and how fragile our world is. These children need to understand that the environment is an important part of our school and our community. Finding material that is appropriate for Kindergarten is a hard task. Fortunately, I have come across this appropriate material.

The resources I found consist of three different items. The first item is the Earth & Environment theme box. This theme box contains all the material that is needed to teach about the earth and how to recycle. Best of all this material is all hands on, which is great for Kindergarten. This theme box will help the children explore our world and learn how to protect our world. The next two items are libraries of books. These books are full of real life pictures, realistic art, and current information. The books will be great for when I teach whole group lessons which require me to read books about recycling, our planet, and how we can protect our planet and help to save it.

Your help will provide these children with a much needed look into our world and why we are trying to save our world. These wonderful resources that your help will provide will start these children on the road to becoming active members in our society and eventually adults who will care about our planet as much as we do.

My students need 1 Earth & Environment Theme Box, 1 Earth & Environment Theme Book Library, and 1 Environmental Awareness Library.
