Each class has a variety of abilities from special education, behavioral, gifted and talented to the average ability student.
We learn our science concepts by carrying out "hands on, minds on" labs and activities. The students are interested in learning about the benefits of growing plants. Many of these students have never planted a plant or any kind of flower. These students do not have flowers around their apartments or housing complexes so they do not understand or cannot see the importance of plants to our environment. Flowers not only give aesthetic beauty but also help keep our environment clean. My students need soil, easy grow green houses, two types of flower seeds, a life cycle poster and micro slides of plant cells. By growing these simple flowers, the kids will demonstrate how energy form the sun,H2O from nature and carbon dioxide excreted from all animals will produce beautiful flowers!Wow!!To learn that each and every student, even living in the city, can contribute to this dynamic environmental friendly process. Your support will make it possible for ALL my students to contribute to this dynamic, environmental ,friendly process. Flowers are beautiful we know...but to actually produce clean air is an awesome concept to grasp! My students need planting soil, easy grow greenhouses, two types of flower seeds, a plant life cycle poster, and micro-slides of an actual plant cell. HIDEMrs. P.'s Classroom:
