My Students

Our school has a few carts with class sets of computers to share among teachers. Unfortunately, these carts are in short supply. As more and more teachers become comfortable with using the technology in the classroom that students deserve, these carts become evermore scarce.

My students need daily technology in this 21st century!

I feel that my Geometry and Precalculus students should have a class set of computers. This will help ensure that their education is enhanced with daily interactive applications.

My Project

"When am I ever going to use this in real life?" Having a class set of computers would help answer this common question. Students will be able to apply their math skills by creating and printing three dimensional projects that can test the formulas they are learning. One project in particular, creating 3D rockets, will engage students by having them implement the formulas learned in the classroom.

A class set of computers would enable students to create 3D rockets that will strengthen students' spatial abilities as well as allow them to solidify their understanding of the mathematical concepts behind a rocket launch.

Without computers, students rely solely on paper and textbooks that are, unfortunately, rife with limitations. In order to be successful in the 21st century, all of my students need an opportunity to enjoy 21st century learning!
