I teach a first grade self contained English as a Second Language class. 90% of the children receive free or reduced priced lunch.

Everyday I come into school my students ask me if we are going to use the Smartboard or make a podcast. Since I started using technology in my class, the energy level has increased exponentially. They are eager to learn through the different multimedia equipment.

I decided that I wanted to take the creation of technology based projects such as digital movies and podcasts and put it into their hands. My students need two pure digital flip mino black camcorders to record what they are learning. Through the use of this technology these children, whose second language is English, will be able to improve their speaking skills, literacy skills, technology skills and interpersonal skills.

Your help will give my students the tool that they need to create their own digital movies. They will become experts in technology and be ready to enter the digital world.
