"Teaching is such a rewarding job, and a way to unlock the doors of the future for each of my students. I am currently teaching first grade, and have been a teacher for 4 years. Our school is located in Nevada in a high-need community.

Everyday my students struggle with wondering if their parents will have a job tomorrow. I want to provide a classroom where they can escape the real world by reading a good book. In addition to the recent cuts to education, I do not want my students to suffer. They are our future and we need to help them as much as possible.

The books I requested are to help my students escape the every day life and to foster reading. By having reading logs my students will be able to record the books they read. Then they can reflect on the books they have read over the year. In addition I have request pouches, so my students can store books at their table. This will enable them to read when every they have free time. Furthermore, I request a mobile book library to help store our class books. With this mobile library my students will be able to see what book they want and not have to dig around looking for in boxes.

By supporting our classroom you will make it possible for my students to dream big. You will show them that even though their our problems in our world today their are people out who care about their education.

My students need two rolling library carts, 20 reading logs, 20 See & Store Book Pouches, 11 books by Mo Willems and 1 book by Jeff Kinney.

Dear JPMorgan Chase and Lincy Foundation,
I just wanted to take the time and thank you for your donations to our classroom. My goal is to get my students hooked on reading, and the materials that were purchased have already helped out a tremendous amount.

My students are reading the books from Mo Willem's and laughing. What I enjoy most is that the parents are informing me that their child loves all of Mo Willem's books and that they are checking them out from the library so they can have them at home too.

Our library is beautiful and organized now! The students enjoy spending time in their reading and writing in the reading logs too. Another thing that has helped the student and I out is having the reading bags at their table. They are able to have 4 books in there to read throughout the day.

You helped my goal become possible and my 1st graders are on the right direction in school with their new love of reading!

With gratitude,
Ms. P.

Dear JPMorgan Chase and Lincy Foundation,

Thank you so much for your kind contribution to my classroom and students. With my growing classroom library I am unable to display all the books for the children. My children enjoy reading all the books, especially the ones that you have donated to our class. Mo Willems is a great author and the students just love reading his books.

Also thank you for buying classroom supplies for me to make next a great year for my students. With the changing times I am unable to buy the students many of the supplies I once use to. I want to keep encouraging my students that reading is amazing and with book carts, reading logs, books, and book holders it is possible.

I appreciate all of your assistance and ultimately this translates into better learning by my students!

With gratitude,
Ms. P.
