"Reluctant readers love Playaways (audiobooks) because they get to hear a wonderful and exciting story even if they struggle to read. As a librarian, I try to expose my students to a variety of authors and different types of stories, however, not every student is reading at grade level. By listening to Playaways, students get to listen to a great story that they might not be able to read yet, because it is above their reading level.

Because of our budget crisis in the state of Nevada, our Library does not have the funds to keep up with the interests of our students. Playaways are quite expensive and our struggling and reluctant readers would love to have a chance to listen to some great stories.

I would like to order 10 Playaways (audiobooks) to have available to check out in the library to our students who have difficulty reading.

You will make it possible to help the struggling and reluctant readers who have difficulty still reading. Playaways are a wonderful resource that helps students hear the words off the pages of wonderful stories.

My students need 10 Playaways (self-contained audiobooks), including such titles as "Marley and Me" and "Eragon".

Dear Janis and Lincy Foundation,
Thank you for supporting our school's library. Our students have really enjoyed listening to the wonderful playaways. Because the playaways are the equivalent to a MP3 player, students have been able to listen to an entire book on tape. Many students have also checked out the book too and have been seen reading along with the playaways. I would personally like to thank you for your generosity in allowing our students to hear and read more variety of books in our library. The students will enjoy them for many years to come.

With gratitude,
Mrs. S.

Dear Janis and Lincy Foundation,
Thank you so much for your kind contribution to our library and students. My students love to listen to Playaway Audio Books. Students struggling with reading, benefit from hearing the story read to them. This translates to students developing a lifelong love of reading. At our school, we use Accelerated Reader to test the student's comprehension of stories they are reading or listening to. Students who have struggled to read stories, become successful taking AR tests on the stories they hear which in turn helps them to want to read and hear more stories.

I appreciate all of your assistance in helping our struggling readers become lifelong readers. Thank you for your generous donation.

With gratitude,
Mrs. S.
