Currently, I am teaching general and vocal music in grade kindergarten all the way through twelfth grade. The kids that go to our school are very active within the community. At the elementary, we try to show our kids that they can make a difference in the world around them. No matter the subject, or task at hand our children here succeed. Whether it is fund-raising for a family in need or reaching MAP goals, our kids always give a hundred percent.

Currently, our music classroom is in desperate need of instruments. Most of the instruments that the kids need for a lesson are either missing, or broken. Often the kids have to take turns playing on an instrument. That sometimes leads to sharing one instrument for 20 to 30 kids.

Since we are in need of so much, I have created a list of items that we would like to have for our classroom. Most of the instruments that we need are percussion instruments. For example hand drums, tambourines, xylophones, bongos, mallets, kid cymbals, wood blocks. This is only a small list of the items we need. These instruments will greatly improve the children's learning within the music classroom, and it will improve their thinking skills. Even starting in kindergarten, we work on their fine and gross motor skills, listening skills, reasoning skills, creative thinking skills, and set the seed for a life filled with the love of music.

Here's how you can help out our music classroom. You can go to my resource list and purchase anything on that list. Everything that has been put on that list will go to our classroom, in which all the kids will have the opportunity to play and perform beautiful music. Anything that you are willing to donate would be appreciated.
