My students are third graders in a low income area in Illinois. It is a primary school, so it only teaches Pre-K through third.

My students love to read. Their favorite place to visit in the classroom is the library. I came up with the idea to have a library on wheels so that more students could enjoy their love of books at once.

Due to the lack of space, this mobile listening center would help in providing this. The students would be able to not only read their favorite books, but listen to them as well. This will be beneficial to those students that are having a harder time reading in class.

This center will help make those students that are not as advanced in reading feel a sense of accomplishment because they will be able to listen to the words and eventually make the connection when they read on their own. This center will help those students that are auditory learners and give them a chance to succeed.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
