I teach 4th grade students. I feel it is my purpose to keep my class fun and interesting. Studies have shown that it is during elementary that students define their attitude about education. That is a big decision for young minds to make. I hope that by engaging students I can encourage them to invest in their education for years to come.

The generation of students I am teaching are tech savvy. They blog, twitter, listen to ipods, play video games, and chat. I feel that to truly engage them I must find a way to bring technology into my teaching.

The solution is a camcorder. By allowing students to record projects and book reports their education excels. They not only learn while preparing the project they learn to use a camcorder and work cooperatively.

With your help we can get students involved in their education early, and then keep them involved. As teachers we are training the next generation of great thinkers. We should not limit their creativity!
