I teach in a low income based school. We are a Charter School, however we do not receive a lot of the funds for resources that we need to enrich our students' learning. I teach Kindergarten and currently have 18 students.

It is my personal goal to ensure that each child receives a quality education. I love sharing big books and doing group writing to help my students get a better understanding of what they are capable of. We currently do not have a place to hold our big books and it makes it very difficult while trying to share and read big books with the children, since I have to hold them. Also, it is inconvenient when we do a writing activity with a big book because the students have to turn around, from the circle area, while I go to the board to demonstrate the writing. My students love this shared time and I want a resource in my room that will help to enhance this learning opportunity.

My students would truly benefit from a Royal Reading and Writing Center, a resource that will allow to them to interact with the books, write about scenarios, compare and contrast, and manipulate with vocabulary words (using magnetic letters).

Please help my students realize the importance of their education and help me to provide an opportunity to help them learn. We could do so many more interactive and hands-on lessons with big books if we had this terrific resource.
