"My very creative and enthusiastic Second Graders LOVE to read and write entertaining book reports! We are also participating in a program called "Read A Million Words" and are keeping a Daily Reading Log to monitor our progress.

We are in need of an organized means to keep track of our books and book report materials, as the desks that we have are too small.

We have found a wonderful solution to our problem: A durable "kid-proof" open-sided vertical box called a Magazine File! Each student would be able to have their own file box that would be kept on a bookshelf in our classroom. They would keep all of their reading materials in this file box.

My students would be extremely excited to have their reading materials in these wonderful boxes! Thank you so much for your consideration.

My students need 30 magazine file boxes for organizing their books and book report materials. The cost of this proposal is $233, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear Barbara, Steve, Lori and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you for funding my "Kid-Proof Book Boxes" proposal! Your kindness and generosity for my students and their classroom has touched my heart.

The "Kid-Proof Book Boxes" arrived a few weeks after the new school year began. They have been an amazing (and easy) way for my students to organize and keep track of their daily reading materials ("Just-Right" books, leveled readers, book reports, sight-word cards, and reading logs)! Every Monday morning the children get to choose up to ten new books for their Book Boxes - we call this "Book Box Shopping". Not only are these Book Boxes durable and colorful (a bright and cheery red and blue), they will also be used by my future students for years to come! (Last year, my students used a cardboard version of the Book Boxes, and they didn't hold up very well.)

My students will become amazing readers this year - by the end of this school year, they will have written nearly 500 book reports and completed countless reading logs! They are so proud of the progress that they have already made in reading thus far this year - I wish you could see them beam with pride whenever anyone comes into our classroom and admires their wonderful book reports.

I am so grateful for your generous donations that funded the Book Boxes. Please know that your donations will be motivating my readers for many, many years to come.

With gratitude,
Mrs. T.

Dear Barbara, Steve, Lori and Anonymous Donor,

Today I received the most thrilling e-mail in my in-box... my "Kid-Proof Book Boxes" proposal had been funded by all of you! Your kindness and generosity for my students and their classroom has touched my heart.

The "Kid-Proof Book Boxes" are going to be an amazing way for my students to organize and keep track of their daily reading materials (books, leveled readers, book reports, reading logs)! Not only are these Book Boxes durable and colorful, they will also be used by my future students for years to come!

My students have become amazing readers this year - they have written over 400 book reports and completed countless reading logs! They are so proud of the progress that they have made in reading - I wish you could see them beam with pride whenever anyone comes into our classroom and admires the incredible "book report chains" that are hanging from our ceiling. Every Monday morning the children get to choose up to 10 new books for their Book Boxes - they will be overjoyed when their new "kid-proof" recycled plastic Book Boxes arrive! (This year, my students used a cardboard version of the Book Boxes, and they didn't hold up very well.)

I am so grateful for your generous donations that funded the Book Boxes. Please know that your donations will be motivating my readers for many years to come.

With gratitude,
Mrs. T.
