Hi! I'm a second grade teacher and I have the privilege to teach 21 eager and motivated learners in my classroom.

Many of my students are English Language Learners who need a hands-on model of the subject being taught. Especially when the concepts are enormous when learning about our Earth and it's continents and oceans.

I am requesting materials that will help them learn about using maps and identifying important geographical features and develop reading and writing skills at the same time. The Resource Box includes realistic props that give students a tactile and visual sense of important topics such as a full color map and globe, a working compass and a 3-D landform mold. It also includes ready to use teaching tools that support national social studies standards and build essential language skills. A Literature Library will support these materials. The activity kit will encourage students at analyze information, make comparisons,and draw conclusions.
