A Book Without A Spine

My students need a binding machine and binding backs, combs and covers.

Shhhhhh! Writers at work! I teach eager, enthusiastic, and creative second graders who love to write and illustrate stories. Writing is an integral part of every area of my curriculum. The students write in journals, poetry, letters, and their favorite, story writing.

A book without a spine! My student's enthusiasm for writing is infectious. They create cover pages, title pages, a giving page, table of contents, and even an author's page for the stories they write. They then try to staple the pages together in the form of a book.

A binding machine with binding combs would allow the students to actually bind their story together. By adding a clear cover would allow their beautiful, colorful illustrations to shine through for all to see. The finishing touch of a back page will provide the durability their books need as they proudly share their story.

You will make it possible for my children to learn how to use a binding machine and take ownership of their work. More importantly, they will be able to give their book a spine that will last through many readings!
