Where on Earth?

My students need informative activities and books on other countries. They need one multicultural CD library, two different sets of multiculturally diverse libraries, one set of continent activities, and one set of geography activities.

We are taking a trip around the world! I am teaching an after school class for 1st and 2nd graders on other countries in the world. My school is a Title I charter school in an inner city area. Many of my students do not leave the city and therefore, do not realize there are other countries and other people groups. I want my students to fully understand the diversity of our world and the geography of the Earth. I want their eyes to be opened to the vast world around them by using new books, Cd's, and activities!

In our after school program, there is no extra funding. I want to be able to provide my students with additional learning in areas that are not thoroughly covered during the school day. We currently do not have any supplies for this class, Where on Earth?

I am requesting two different sets of multicultural libraries to show the students visuals and information on other countries. My students need multicultural Cd's to expose themselves to various types of music around the world. We will be making instruments to play along with the music. The students also need geography and continent activities to see the places we are learning about. I feel with all of the supplies combined, my students will have a solid understanding of the countries we study.

Your support of this project will allow my kids to think outside of their inner city box. They will be opened up to all kinds of new and different ideas, foods, clothes, environments, animals, music, etc.! I feel this will inspire them to learn more about other lands and maybe even visit some of these countries one day!
