Hello, I am a teacher of 24 students in a large urban charter school. As part of our curriculum we have daily centers. Most of the centers are literacy based. In order to provide well rounded centers I would like to have some building materials such as small table blocks or Legos for my students to use.

I would have loved to be able to purchase these materials with the small classroom budget, but I decided that other things were needed. My students commented that the class next to them had legos and asked me to borrow them sometime as it looked fun and they loved playing with Legos. It is hard to look into their beautiful and eager faces and say no so I have borrowed them a few times. It is hard as they have center time the same time as we do.

I would like to receive 2 sets of Legos and a set of table blocks so I can provide my students their own building experiences and be able to let them have a "construction in progress". Building blocks are great for hand and eye coordination and spark imagination. It is great to see the wonderful things they proudly create. It also is a great team building experience for them as they have to work together to build their projects.

Your generous donation will bring my students hours of fun in the class. It will help spark their imaginations and improve their fine motor skills. Help them build their dreams one block at a time.
