Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Students in my fourth grade classes are eager, excited about learning, and well behaved. Heaven for a classroom teacher! However, we do have a problem - we need science supplies to help learning come alive for them.

Our school is in an area with a high population of low income, at risk families. We eat free lunches, take home discarded library books to have reading at home. But no excuses are made! Instead, need drives students to learn so they can better their lives.

The resources I am requesting are hands-on materials that will support curriculum while making learning real for my students. Units from electricity to water cycle, life cycles to magnetism will come alive as they make and do using these one-topic tubs of knowledge.

Because I am provided with the curriculum but few supplies to make them hands-on, you can make it possible for a group of 73 students in three classes to grow in science knowledge and hopefully foster additional excitement in this vital area of their education. I guarantee the materials will be used with enthusiasm by my students, as well as great appreciation for your generosity. Thank you.
