My students are amazing, they are always craving information but with that being said sometimes they have to take the path less traveled to get the knowledge. They struggle with learning disabilities, economic hardship, some even struggle with just having a safe place to lay their heads at night. They come from all different type of backgrounds.
I guess I could sum by kids (students) into one statement; they are the students that no one else wants to teach.
But they are AMAZING!!
My Project
All good mathematicians need and use notebooks, our mathematicians need supplies for their notebooks; and our mathematicians need help getting all the materials that they need. The supplies that are being asked for will help our students create and maintain their journals.
Creating personalized journals/notebooks help our kids really connect with the material that so the most part is pretty difficult for them to grab a hold of.
By helping us with materials for their notebooks, you are helping them connect to a subject that believe is not within reach of grasping. Lets help them believe and see that they can reach a subject that seems so far away.
