I am requesting a children's couch to help make my Literacy center a comfortable and inviting reading nook.

I teach what I feel is one of the most important grades in school--Kindergarten! I have a classroom of approximately 20 Kindergarten students in western NC. A child's experience in Kindergarten can determine how they feel about themselves as a learner for the rest of their life. If children feel successful and enjoy learning as they begin their school career, then this carries over to a lot of other aspects in their life. I am requesting materials to enrich my classroom learning environment and the educational experience of my children.

My classroom is in need of a comfortable and inviting space for children to read. Currently I have placed a rug on top of our tile floor and that is what my students have to sit on while in the reading center.

I have found this kid-sized sofa that would be perfect for my students to be able to sit in while in the Literacy center. This sofa will not only give my children a nice inviting place to read this year, but should serve my students for many years to come.

Thank you for your help in giving my children a comfortable, inviting and kid-friendly place to grow and enhance their love of learning and reading!
