My students need a Classroom Math Manipulative Center, Light and Strike Math Game, and two sets of Fraction Circles.

Wonderful, wonderful students! I teach 4th Grade in Northern California. My school is in a high need community where there have been thousands of foreclosures. Many of my students are from low income families that have an annual income of less than 25,000 for a family of four or five.

My students need to see Math in order to learn Math. My students need extra help in mastering math skills and manipulatives will help them succeed. My students need to work in Math Centers using activities that will increase their interest in the math concepts being studied. By using the math manipulatives, they will learn more math strategies and develop stronger skills.

By using Math Manipulatives, students will be able to have a visual picture of the concept they are studying. Students will be able to work independently without fear of failure or being embarrassed. Currently, the students have very few manipulatives and some of the students need additional resources to enhance their understanding.

By donating to our classroom, you will be helping 25 students reach their potential and feel success in learning mathematical concepts. You will make it possible for students in need to have access to extra materials that the State of California cannot provide.
