Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My 9th grade students live in a high-need community where classroom supplies are scarce.

It is not often that we have the privilege to incorporate much more than lined paper into our lessons. This project is a great way to change things up a bit! When it comes time to create Venn Diagrams, Story Webs, or Character Webs we want do it in style and large enough for the entire class to see!

My students need pocket chart graphic organizers, bright tagboard to use with the pocket charts and a pocket chart that displays the class roles. The large pocket chart graphic organizers would be a great new way of learning. I am sure students would find it more interesting to place a piece of information on a huge, colorful organizer rather than on a piece of lined paper.

You can make it possible for my students to use a different material when learning through graphic organizers. The same old stuff gets boring after a while and this would sure spice things up. Not only are the graphic organizers a great tool for learning, they would add a kick of color and interest to the classroom as well!
