What is an art class without markers and glue? I teach elementary art, grades K-5. That means I teach the entire school, all 268 students! A moderate portion of my students live in poverty.

My students are fortunate to be attending a brand new school, but the art room is short on some basic supplies. Supplies were ordered before I was hired to teach at the school so the materials lack input from an art teacher's perspective. The result? We have no wide-tipped markers and barely enough glue to last the school year.

I am requesting wide-tipped markers and assorted adhesives to be used throughout the remaining school year on a variety of drawing and collage projects. Students will love brand-new juicy, vibrant markers to draw beautiful pictures. We currently have a lot of glitter, felt, Popsicle sticks, craft papers, etc. but we do not have the proper adhesives to make them stick. The result is projects that fall apart soon after assembly, which is very disheartening for the kids.

Your help will ensure that my students can develop their creativity while gaining experience with drawing and collage media. Any quality elementary art program should be able to offer its students exposure to a variety of media. Please help my students make colorful art and projects that are built to last!
