"My 21st century thinkers are exceptional in SO many ways! They are exceptional for their relentless pursuit of goals even in the face of enormous obstacles in their schooling and often in their personal lives. They are exceptional in their positive attitudes and good spirits. The students participating in this project are members of the Engineering Class, which accommodates the individual needs of students at our low-income middle school from all grade levels and with a variety of different academic backgrounds.

The Engineering Club has generated a lot of excitement throughout our student body and in our local community. We have discussed a variety of engineering principles and are excited about taking the step into Environmental and Chemical Engineering. However, we currently lack the resources to successfully complete our ambitious plans.

The resources we are requesting include water treatment models, water testing lab kits, and hand-held microscopes. These resources will be used to take a look at the engineering processes and principles involved in water testing, treatment, and purification. With these resources, my class will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to connect engineering to water treatment.

Your help will provide a few different things for my students. First of all, the students will benefit from the opportunity to receive academic enrichment in science, a subject that is critical in developing young minds. Second, my students will have the opportunity to engage in the hands-on learning that higher-income students get everyday. Finally, with your help and my collaborative classroom, we can take our students successfully into the 21st century!

Thanks for you support!

My students need 2 Water Treatment Activity Models, 2 Investigating Water Pollutants Kits, and 7 Hand Held Microscopes. The cost of this proposal is $939, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ?."

Dear RBC Blue Water Project,
Thank you very much for donating to my grant. This will help our students in the process of becoming 21st century learners. Our students will have the chance to learn chemical and environmental engineering concepts through filtering and cleaning water. This is amazing chance for hands-on learning. Thank you for giving my students the chance to become extraordinary.
