Hark Ye Shakespeare Fans! I am a school librarian who teaches grades K-5. Our rural school serves 400 students from five different towns. Even though we live in the sticks, our school community celebrates the works of Shakespeare!

Our fifth graders study and perform a Shakespeare play for the younger students. We shorten the plays, but use only the Bard's language. Students this young are eager and receptive to the classic meter and vocabulary.

We transform our school gym/cafeteria into a model of Shakespeare's Globe Theater and put on a great show! The only problem is...the acoustics are terrible! We need some microphones to amplify these bright young voices reciting the brilliant passages from Shakespeare's plays.

With your help, we could put the final gloss on our production which includes music, dance and acting. Please help us to be heard! Maybe, next time we perform "Macbeth" the first graders won't think our witches are saying "Double, Double Toilet Trouble!" Thanks to you, the words of Shakespeare will resound across the centuries and echo throughout our school.
